Greetings Alumni and Friends,

Welcome to our website!  The spirit of  our University's founder, Dr. William Hooper Councill, is alive and well in the Metro Atlanta area.

For more than 40 years, the Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter has given back to our alma mater collectively with time, donations and service. We will continue to promote Normal’s Hill in our local community. Our primary focus is to recruit promising students from the Metro Atlanta area and encourage them to pursue an education at Alabama A&M University located in Huntsville, Alabama. Through yearly fundraising efforts, we have assisted more than 30 students financially with their educational expenses.

As you explore our website I hope you will develop a recommitment to the University motto, Service is Sovereignty.  Feel free to monitor the website for upcoming chapter events and join us for chapter meetings, which take place on most 2nd Sundays at 3:00 pm at the East Point Library, 2757 Main Street, East Point, Georgia. I hope you will share your appreciation and passion for Alabama A&M University by joining our local chapter. We have a special place for you!

Yours in Service,

Keshia Appkins
