The Metro Atlanta AAMU Alumni chapter partnered with Macy’s department store in “Shop for the Cause” on October 17, 2009 at the Greenbriar Mall store selling discount coupons for $5.  All proceeds went toward our chapter community projects for feeding the homeless, student assistance, and community projects.  If you have any additional ideas and/or would like to volunteer at our next event, please email Keisha Appkins at keisha101@aol.com .

ATTENTION Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter Members!

The Tom Joyner Foundation selected Alabama A&M University as the school of the Month for September 2009. The project goal is to raise $250,000 for scholarships for A&M students; however, each alumni chapter is charged to raise a minimum of $5000.  It is very important that our chapter receives credit for all contributions made by our chapter members.

NOTE:  We are asking all chapter members and alums in the Metro Atlanta area to mail or give their contributions along with the attached form below to our  Treasurer to mail in as a group for our chapter.  Mail to PO Box 98097  Atlanta, GA 30359-8097.  Make checks payable to: Tom Joyner Foundation.  We will also collect contributions at our September chapter meeting on 9/13 and forms are also available on our website www.aamuat.org.   Let’s show Tom Joyner and the world how much we love and support our school.  Please contribute, spread the word and give some more to help meet our goal.  The Deadline for Chapter contributions is 9/21/09.
